Chili Garlic Noodles

If your nearby Chinese restaurant makes terrible noodles (like mine does), you need to make one yourself. Noodles are ridiculously easy to prepare.

I added whatever veggies I had in my kitchen..cabbage, bell peppers…even carrots, and the noodles came out AMAZING!

Chili Garlic Noodles




Yield 4 cups

Garlicky, tangy, and spicy chili garlic noodles for lunch or dinner!


  • 2 cups cooked noodles
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1-2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Freshly chopped cilantro
  • Freshly chopped green onion


  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat settings. Add oil. 
  2. Once it's hot, add garlic, green chilies, and onion. Stir and saute until the onions turn translucent. 
  3. Add bell peppers, shredded cabbage, and sliced carrots. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt.
  4. Next add the soy sauce, vinegar,  red chili sauce, salt, pepper and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat. 
  5. Add the cooked noodles and mix again to coat. (this takes quite a while - using a tong or 2 forks will help you mix faster).
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and green onions.
