Super excited to share this cheezy mac with you all. BTW, I took down the previous mac and cheese recipe because this one turned out so much better!

The ingredients are simple and easy to gather. I used nutritional yeast powder but the flakes will work just as well. 

Vegan Mac and Cheese

I’m using vegan cheddar cheeze from Soft Spots, a local plant-based food company (not sponsored). Tastes really good!

Vegan Mac and Cheese

To make this recipe gluten-free, you can use zero-gluten elbows like this chickpea elbows, or this green lentil elbows.

I haven’t tried them yet, but have heard many good things about them.

Vegan Mac and Cheese

The cooking is super easy – assemble all the ingredients and gently boil over low-medium heat. Add vegan cheese, cook a bit more…and you’re done! 🙂

  1. In a saucepan, add macaroni + water + salt + dijon mustard + turmeric + garlic powder. Mix well and cook over low-medium heat for 5 minutes.

  2. Next, add nutritional yeast + pepper + soy milk. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes or until it's done.

  3. Turn off the heat. Add shredded vegan cheddar cheese and mix well. Sprinkle a bit of pepper on top (optional) and serve hot.

  1. After going vegan, the only thing I’ve missed more than anything was Mac n cheese.
    I have tried the steamed potatoes and carrots one but wasn’t satisfied with the taste and the texture of the outcome.
    I have tried your mac n cheese version and I must say that it’s the closest to the Mac n cheese that I used to have as a non vegan.
    The taste , the texture, the creaminess and the chessyness is on point. Have made this multiple times now, for friends too and they always compliment me for it.
