Vegan Chocolate Quinoa Porridge

Hi friends! This is a simple and easy one-pot porridge that you can enjoy for breakfast/brunch.

Chocolate + quinoa may sound like a strange combo, but together they team up to make an incredible dish. This porridge is creamy, chocolatey, protein-packed, delightfully spiced, and SO delicious!

Serve with your favorite fruits (mango, papaya, kiwi work wonderfully here) and you’ll want to make this again. I added some chestnut spread + berry jam to make it more dessert-ish.

Enjoy it cold during summer, and hot during winter.

Vegan Chocolate Quinoa Porridge

Quick and easy vegan chocolate quinoa porridge recipe.

  • Set a pot/saucepan over medium heat. Add rinsed quinoa + water.
  • Cook the quinoa until it's done (recipe to cook the perfect fluffy quinoa here).
  • Once it's cooked, add chia seeds + flax meal + cocoa powder + coconut sugar + cinnamon powder + salt + peanut butter + mashed bananas + soy milk.
  • Mix well and cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes, or until everything is well combined.
  • Vegan chocolate quinoa porridge is ready. Transfer to serving bowls and top it up with pomegranate + kiwi (or your fav fruits) + roasted hazelnuts + cacao nibs.
  • Serve hot or cold (I enjoy it cold).


  1. You can easily substitute coconut sugar with maple syrup or your favorite sweetener.
