Chocolate Quinoa Breakfast Bowl
My favorite supergrain gets a chocolaty makeover – and it is PERFECT for morning breakfasts!
Quinoa & Chocolate might not sound like the best combination at first, but trust me these two ingredients team up to make a delicious and nutritious recipe.
As always, I’ve only used simple and easy-to-find ingredients.
Quinoa takes quite a while to cook so we’ll be cooking them for at least 15-20 minutes over low heat. I used soy milk but you can use any dairy-free milk you like.
You can choose to use your fav fruits as toppings. I used a combination of banana, papaya, pomegranate and kiwi in mine. So colorful and delicious!
That’s it! Your protein-packed chocolate quinoa bowl is ready. Let’s do this! 🙂
Chocolate Quinoa Bowl
Quick, easy, and delicious vegan chocolate quinoa bowl recipe.
Add quinoa + soy milk in a saucepan. Set the heat to low and cook for 18-20 minutes or until the quinoa is completely cooked (cover the saucepan with a lid - important).
Add cocoa powder + maple syrup + salt. Mix well, cover the lid, and cook for 2 more minutes over low heat.
Turn off the heat, transfer the quinoa to a serving bowl, and top it off with your fav fruits.
The nutritional chart doesn't include the values from the fruits/toppings.
